Music, love and celebration at Diest Citadel

To give meaning to each new day through acts of love was the message I took home after photographing Lara and Willem’s celebration of love.

In the cosy setting of Diest Citadel, with music and the stage at the heart of the celebrations, I was reminded once again of the many ways love can be expressed. There is something incredibly special about being invited into such an intimate moment, witnessing two people speak their promises to one another and begin this new chapter together.

And, as so often happens, I found myself almost brought to tears as Lara and Willem read their wedding vows. Those words, spoken so openly and sincerely, were a beautiful reminder that beneath all the details, music and celebration, a wedding is ultimately about one thing: choosing each other, and choosing to fill the days ahead with acts of love.

A fairytale wedding at Château Bayard

Keana and Laurent planned their wedding to aesthetic perfection. Every detail felt intentional, from the carefully chosen shades of deep green and red woven throughout the florals and décor to the timeless elegance of Château Bayard as their backdrop.

But beyond the beautiful setting and considered details, the day was filled with warmth, emotion, and genuine moments. The grandeur of the château contrasted beautifully with the intimacy of the celebration: quiet glances, heartfelt embraces, laughter with friends, and all the little in-between moments that made the day unmistakably theirs.

Set against the historic architecture and lush surroundings of Château Bayard, their wedding felt both sophisticated and deeply personal: a celebration where every visual detail came together naturally, without ever taking away from the people at the heart of it.
